About Maserati
Maserati is one of the most famous Italian car brands, but it has never been a mainstream choice in the UK. It sits in a more specialist part of the market, aimed at buyers who want something more distinctive than the usual German luxury brands but not necessarily as extreme or expensive as a Ferrari or Lamborghini.
The range has changed quite a lot in recent years. Older models such as the Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante are now previous models, while the current line-up is focused on the Grecale SUV, GranTurismo coupé, GranCabrio convertible and MC20/MCPura sports car family. Maserati is also adding electric Folgore versions, although petrol engines still remain an important part of the brand’s appeal.
For UK buyers, Maserati’s appeal is rarely about the most sensible choice on paper. The cars are bought as much for style, sound, badge appeal and rarity as for everyday practicality. A Grecale can work as a premium family SUV, while a GranTurismo or GranCabrio is much more of a luxury indulgence. The more focused sports cars sit in a different world again.
That character is also why Maserati needs careful comparison. Running costs, depreciation, reliability data, warranty cover and ownership support all matter, especially when the prices are high and the dealer network is much smaller than those of larger premium brands. This page brings together all of our Maserati coverage in one place, including Expert Ratings, reviews, news and feature articles, so you can compare the range and see how each model stacks up beyond the badge.
