About Omoda
Omoda has only been on sale in the UK since late 2024, but it has already become a familiar name far more quickly than most new car brands manage. That’s partly because it arrived with serious backing from the wider Chery group, and partly because it has gone straight after one of the busiest parts of the new car market – family SUVs – with plenty of kit and a strong value story.
Along with its sister brand, Jaecoo, the Omoda brand is aimed at buyers who want something that looks modern, feels well-equipped and offers better value than an equivalent car from a more established badge. Within the family, Omoda is a more fashion-led brand, while Jaecoo is aimed at buyers who prefer something a bit more traditional.
So far, the Omoda range covers small to mid-sized SUVs, with a choice of petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric power. Unlike some new arrivals, Omoda is not relying on EVs alone, which is one reason that it has made such a strong start in the UK. The company also has more than 120 dealerships around the country, which has helped ensure that potential buyers are never too far from an Omoda showroom.
This page brings together all of our Omoda coverage in one place, including Expert Ratings, reviews, news and feature articles, so you can keep track of how the brand is developing in the UK.
