Winter driving is stressful for may drivers, and with good reason. Your car doesn’t steer or brake as well in cold, wet, icy or snowy conditions, and your visibility is usually reduced as well.

As the cold of winter envelopes us once again, it’s important to remember to take extra care on the roads. As the weather gets colder, darker and wetter, you can easily get caught out – especially if you are in a hurry to get home at the end of the day.

Alternative Route Finance has come up with this handy winter driving infographic to help you out. Remember that braking distances can be much longer in cold and wet conditions, so leave plenty of margin to the car in front. And check out other articles at The Car Expert for more advice on winter driving.
