Smell of burnt diesel when car is stationary (Chevy Captiva)

Can anyone help please? When I first start my car (chevrolet captiva 2.0l auto diesel 08 plate 71k) I can smell a burning diesel smell, I can smell it in traffic and at slow speed any have any ideas?

Could be a fuel leak, or a hole in the exhaust. Either way, you need to get it checked out by a mechanic as soon as you can.
