New this forum, so would appreciate advice on my situation.

I have a budget of £5-£6k and wish to buy a Fiesta, Cat D, so my budget can stretch to a newer model. My criteria is high mpg, good engine power (family car for 4 ppl), zero tax, a/c, Bluetooth and essentially cheap and reliable to run.

I am viewing a vehicle tomorrow and it is the first car I am buying on my own…any advice for my first viewing?

I have been told to ask for the report (referring to the cat D report) and to send this to my insurance co so they can confirm the damage that was caused for the write off…is this best practice?

An idiots guide style of advice would be helpful…

By the way, is my budget realistic…plus only ideally want about £30k max on the mileage…
