Water ingress – Dacia Sandero

After heavy rainfall overnight, my cars passenger footwell was full of water!
15 month old Dacia Sandero Stepway, bit of an issue getting dealer garage to look at it but went in to a different dealer garage today. Was told they’d have it for 3 days – 1 day for water test, 2 days repair & dry car out.
They’ve been in touch & said scuttle drain blocked & so I’ll have to pay to have car interior removed & all dried out!
Not happy ☹ I never park under trees, always clear any debris & the car is only 15 months old! I usually keep cars for 8-10 years & have never had this happen…
I’m waiting for Dacia customer service ringing me back. Any advice please?

Hi Jane. It will depend on whether the blockage is caused by poor design/manufacturing, or by another reason that caused it to block.

I’d check out Dacia owners’ forums online and see if other drivers have reported a similar issue. If it’s a common problem then you may have an argument that it is a vehicle fault.

Yeah, checked out some forums & several reports & also saying removing , drying out carpets, etc work done under warranty.
