Rachel really needed a new car to replace her ageing Toyota Corolla.  She had been looking around at a few different vehicles, but was not especially inspired and didn’t really have a lot of time to research the marketplace more thoroughly.  So, despite living on the other side of the planet (in Adelaide, South Australia), she got in touch with The Car Expert to help her choose a new car.

      Hi Jeannete,

      As far as I know, there’s nothing quite like The Car Expert in Adelaide, and I don’t know about other cities in Australia. And with the internet, it doesn’t really matter if you are talking to someone 12 metres or 12,000 miles away, so why not? I have had someone contact me from New Zealand as well, to arrange to buy a car in the UK and then have it sent over to him.

  2. How did it work with you being in United Kingdom and the lady being in Australia? Did it make job much harder?

      Hi Otis. Rachel and I e-mailed back and forth and also chatted via Facebook messenger/chat over a period of weeks regarding her car options. It would have been nicer to do everything in person, but we got there well enough using technology instead. stuart

  3. I have a Mazda 3 as well, and I love it. Glad that it has professional approval!

  4. Oh, forgot to mention – the Mazda was clearly the best car within my budget when I was looking, and I have a young child and dog to consider as well. Unfortunately buying one proved to be a battle with the dealership over my trade in price and finance. It was a very uncomfortable experience, and I would have gladly paid someone to do all that for me.
