Abarth 124 Spider

(2016 - present)

The Abarth 124 Spider is a performance model based on the Fiat 124 Spider, which in turn is based on the Mazda MX-5. It was launched in Summer 2016

As of April 2019, most information about the 124 Spider has been removed from the Abarth Cars UK website, suggesting that the current model is being discontinued.

The Abarth 124 Spider has received mixed scores from the UK motoring media, ranging from average to outstanding. It has received praise for its driving dynamics and improvements over the original Mazda MX-5 base, but has been criticised for being significantly more expensive than its Fiat and Mazda relatives.
