I am becoming a childminder and need a car for around £7000 which will seat 3 child car seats. I also need a decent size boot.

Can anyone suggest a RELIABLE vehicle? I also prefer automatic transmission.

Ford C-Max and S-Max are generally considered pretty good. I also know a few people who swear by the Vauxhall Zafira.

Thank you. Are Vauxhall and Ford known for reliability?

Yes, both of them should be fine. With any used car, you need to inspect the vehicle thoroughly, check the service history, and drive the car. Even if you know absolutely nothing about cars, you can see if services have been done on time (preferably by a recognised garage) and you can hear any awful noises when driving the car. If the seller does not want to show you service records or let you drive the car, it’s a clear sign to walk away and find another car.

I must say the Zaifra is a popular used car and new the B/C/S/Galaxy are very good bets
