7 days ago I signed a new vehicle order form with Motorline Renault. I was sold Gap insurance, Smart Insurance and Supaguard. I still want the new car but am not sure about the extras. I am wondering can I contact the dealer and amend my order without a penalty? I have not signed any finance forms etc just the new car order form.

Hi Neil. You will be able to cancel the insurances, since all insurances come with a 14-day cooling-off period.

You should be able to cancel the Supaguard, but there’s a high probability that whenever you make the call to the dealership, you will discover that they have already applied it only about half an hour ago, so it can’t be cancelled now and you’re stuck paying for it…
