I bought a used Audi A4 a month and 9 days ago and today the clutch failed, don’t yet know if its clutch or something clutch related exactly, but my 3 months warranty doesn’t include the clutch.

The main factor in me committing to buying the car was the advert stated that the car has had a recent clutch, flywheel and cam belt changed, those are some of the more expensive car issues and that is why I bought the car. Now after the clutch issue, I went through the paperwork and it turns out those “recent” part changes had been done over 4 years ago, so I would like to know what are my options.

Even if your used car warranty doesn’t cover the clutch, you are still covered by the Consumer Rights Act if you believe the vehicle was faulty when you bought it.
