I have recently bought a crew cab van from a local car dealer and the cam belt has snapped within five weeks of purchase. The engine is now broken and the dealer says he will only offer £100 towards the cost as a gesture of good will. What rights do i have in respect of the cost to replace the engine. The van was £3,400 plus Vat and on a 2012 plate.
