I recently bought a 1.6 diesel Peugeot 5008, 2015 plate, with 26,000 on the clock from a second-hand car dealer.
Today the car has broken down. RAC has been out and diagnosed a fuel-injection issue, which is likely to cost us a small fortune.
What are the chances of any comeback with dealer (not a manufacturer dealer, just a second-hand car place)? We’ve only had the car 3 weeks and now have to find the money to repay a major issue.
Hi Fiona. If it’s a significant fault, you may be able to reject the car under the Consumer Rights Act. Have a read of our article on rejecting a faulty car for more information.
