Ok so, slightly odd question. I’m a learner driver with my own car so my dad decided to attatch a magnet to my spare key so he can attatch it to the fridge for when he comes to pick me up in my car. So all of a sudden my car wouldn’t start. I’ve since learned that it’s only with that key (with the magnet attatched) that the car doesn’t start with but it does with my key. Is this just coincidence or is it the magnet on the key???

Hi Sophie. It’s possible that the magnet has interfered with the key’s ability to talk to the car. Modern car keys are packed with electronics, so he may have killed it. Or there could be another problem, like a flat battery.
