my wife ordered a new car to lease in 02/02/19, its a lease job over 48 months, the contract doesnt have a delivery date.
To cut a long story short, as delivery kept getting delayed we got fed up and cancelled it. We never took delivery or activated finance etc.
Next thing the leasing company want 7k (15% of the P11D).
Surely an agreement cant be open ended delivery dates like this, means it would never expire?
The agreement does look a bit shady and we were never explained to that this would be so penal or extortianate cancellation costs.
Is we had taken the car eventually and returned it on distance selling act, within 14 day cooling period, then we wouldnt have to pay any costs?
Any ideas guys, my wife ready to explode.
We did everything at distance, so maybe that can help?
The leasing agreement took a booking fee orginally of 180 quid, dont mind losing that at all, but this 7k is nuts.
Any help really really appreciate.
