Finance agreement signed… but no delivery date for car

My niece has signed a finance agreement for a new Kia Picanto – however, the delivery date has been changed from end of September to “probably end of October”.

Is she able to cancel the finance agreement as there is no definite delivery date?

Hi Jenny. She will need to check the T&Cs of her vehicle sales contract – usually it specifies that the dealer has 28 days from the date specified on the contract to deliver the car or the contract can be declared void.

However, she will have to wait until that day arrives before she cancels – you can’t cancel the contract because the dealer “probably” won’t deliver in time.
