Hire purchase cancellation rights ?

hi , i recently traded in my old car for a newer one. I signed the hire purchase agrement on the 12/1/17 i have had to take the car back to the garage i brought it off twice now . When i change gear from 1st to 2nd the gears crunch. I am thinking of just cancelling the agreement can i do this? do i have a 14 day cooling off period?

any help would be appreciated .

Hi Matt. If there is a fault with the gearbox, you should be covered by the Consumer Rights Act. For more information, have a read of our article on your right to reject a new car.
