I am considering purchasing a Mini Coupe or Roadster, which I have since found out were models both discontinued in 2015. It seems like an excellent deal to get a highly reputable car make with top specs for a fraction of the price… but am I making a bad investment for when I go to sell it in years to come!?
Hi Lauren. Generally, it depends why the model was discontinued.
The MINI Coupe and Roadster were discontinued because they were very unpopular – the Coupe just looked daft and the Roadster wasn’t sufficiently different to the convertible model already available. As such, they are more likely to lose more value more quickl than the equivalent hatch or convertible models.
