I am currently in the process of buying a new car. I am selling my old car to my brother and I was wondering if I could part ex his OLD car when buying my new car

Yes, it is possible, but it usually requires a couple more steps. Your brother will have to be present to sign the papers to sell his car to the dealership, and may also have to provide a written declaration saying that he is happy for his vehicle to be used as a part-exchange in the purchase of your new vehicle.

A good dealership should be able to guide you through the process, but it’s not difficult.
