I bought a Jaguar XF r sport in June 16. I took out a 4yr PCP deal in March 17 the passenger door top trim starting damaging the rear door top trim and was replaced. In October 17 the fault re occurred , and now the fault has re appeared yet again, in October as part of the rectification, a known fault with boot seals led to a thicker seal being fitted , as a result of this you have to slam the boot very hard practically sprain8ng your wrist, Jaguar told me this would stop over time, 4 months later it is no better , do I have any recourse to reject the car or is it too late to do this as I’m now 19 months In to that agreement, whilst I appreciate it’s still under warranty, it looks like this is going to be a re occurring problem, and after yr 3 I will end up paying for the replacements

Hi Paul. You are well outside the time provisions of the Consumer Rights Act, so it will be difficult to reject the car now. On top of that, it doesn’t sound like an issue that would render the whole car faulty.
Your best bet is probably to keep hassling Jaguar via your new car warranty, and not accept them brushing you off or saying that there’s nothing else they can do.
