Should I buy this Car? (2007 BMW 5 Series)

Friend of a friend is selling a BMW 520 Saloon (2007reg) with 100k for £3000, is this a decent deal?

Someone told me it’s likely I will need to spend a further £3000 after a year with this car due to a probable need for changing the clutch, flywheel, suspension, water pump and injectors. How likely is this to be the case?
