We purchase an Audi A4 S Line 3.5 months ago and the warranty has just run out. The cam belt has just snapped leaving us with a bill for £500.00.
The cam belt was replaced by Audi at 62500 miles and its now only 85000 miles.
We’ve been advised by Consumer rights that if a fault develops within 6 months it is presumed to have had that fault when purchase so a free repair or replacement is entitled…..we live 3 hrs away, therefore we would go under section 24, refund…..
Do you have any knowledge of this as the dealer is denying any responsibility?
