Audi has announced that its new A2 e-tron electric hatchback is now available to order in the UK, confirming four trim levels and eligibility for the government’s Electric Car Grant on selected versions.
The new A2 e-tron is Audi’s smallest and most affordable electric model, reviving a name last used on the distinctive A2 hatchback of the early 2000s. It joins the German manufacturer’s growing electric range, with first UK deliveries scheduled for early 2027.
Four trim levels are available – ‘Technik’, ‘Sport’, ‘S line’ and ‘Edition 1’ – although not every trim can be combined with every battery and motor option.
Entry-level ‘Technik’ models come with 18-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats and steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging and Audi’s dual-screen dashboard, comprising an 12-inch digital instrument display and 13-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Standard driver assistance equipment includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning and a reversing camera.
Sport versions add 19-inch wheels and an upgraded sound system, while ‘S line’ models receive sportier exterior styling, black trim details and sports seats.
Range-topping ‘Edition 1’ models feature 20-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights, electrically adjustable front seats, adaptive suspension and a 360-degree camera system.

Four power outputs and three battery sizes
The A2 e-tron is available with 52kWh, 61kWh or 84kWh batteries, paired with electric motors producing 170hp, 190hp, 231hp or 326hp, depending on the version.
Official battery range figures across the range extend from 261 miles to 397 miles between charges, making the A2 e-tron Audi’s most efficient electric model to date.
UK pricing and availability
The Audi A2 e-tron is available to order now, with prices starting at just north £32k. Versions equipped with the smaller 52kWh and 61kWh batteries qualify for the government’s £1,500 Electric Car Grant, reducing the effective starting price to under £31k for eligible purchases.
Models with the larger 84kWh battery are not included in the grant eligibility announced by Audi. The first UK customer deliveries are expected in early 2027.
