Honda has reduced UK list prices for its CR-V and ZR-V SUVs, with some versions of the larger CR-V now costing £4.5k less than before.

The revised prices have now taken effect and apply to both the full hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the CR-V, as well as all three versions of the smaller ZR-V. The changes are permanent, rather than temporary dealership discounts or finance offers.

The biggest reduction is for the ‘CR-V e Advance’, which is now £4.5k cheaper. The entry-level CR-V hybrid has also received a £4k price cut, while the plug-in hybrid versions are between £2.6k and £2.8k cheaper. Meanwhile, all three ZR-V trim levels have received a £1.3k reduction.

How much have Honda CR-V prices fallen?

The CR-V is Honda’s largest SUV sold in the UK, competing with models such as the Toyota RAV4, Nissan X-Trail and Hyundai Santa Fe.

It is available with either a conventional full hybrid powertrain, which does not need plugging in, or a plug-in hybrid that can travel up to 50 miles on electric power alone..

The entry-level CR-V ‘e Elegance’ now costs £44k, down from £48k. The higher-specification Advance has fallen from £51.5k to £47k. For plug-in hybrid buyers, the ‘Elegance Tech’ now starts at £45k, while the ‘Advance Tech’ costs £48k.

ZR-V receives smaller price reductions

The ZR-V sits between the HR-V and CR-V in Honda’s SUV line-up and is offered exclusively with a 2.0-litre full hybrid powertrain producing 184hp.

All three trim levels receive the same £1.3k price cut, bringing the entry-level ‘Elegance’ down to £35.2k. The mid-range ‘Sport’ now costs £37.5k, while the range-topping ‘Advance’ is priced at £39.6k.

The ZR-V’s standard equipment includes a nine-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity and Honda’s suite of driver assistance systems.
