Skoda Octavia (2013 – 2019)

Not a current model

The Skoda Octavia is a medium-sized family car, available as either a five-door liftback or an estate. It is slightly bigger than the Skoda Scala – especially in the back seat and boot – but smaller than the Skoda Superb.

The current model was launched in early 2013 and facelifted in early 2017. It has now ceased production, with a replacement model unveiled in late 2019 and set to go on sale in the UK in Summer 2020. The range included the high-performance vRS models and the more off-road-looking Octavia Scout (which was available only as an estate).

The Skoda Octavia received unanimously positive reviews from the UK motoring media, as well as numerous awards right throughout its seven years on sale. Although the Octavia’s size placed it somewhat between smaller VW Golf/Ford Focus rivals and larger VW Passat/Ford Mondeo rivals, its overall Expert Rating according to the 21 titles we currently track was the best of either class right up until the end of its model life.
