About Ferrari
Ferrari is one of the few car brands that almost everyone recognises, even if very few people will ever buy one. Its reputation comes from racing, performance and a long line of road cars that have been treated as much like objects of desire as transport. In the UK, Ferrari sits in a rarefied part of the market, above normal premium cars and even beyond most luxury sports cars.
The current Ferrari range is small, but it covers more ground than the old stereotype might suggest. There are mid-engined sports cars, V12 grand tourers, convertibles and the Purosangue SUV, along with plug-in hybrid performance models such as the 296. Ferrari’s official range now includes models such as the 296, 12Cilindri, Purosangue and Amalfi, while The Car Expert also carries ratings for recent models such as the Roma, SF90 Stradale and F8.
Ferrari models often sit at the very top end of media review scores, which is one reason we carry Expert Ratings for more of them than you might expect from such a low-volume brand. They tend to be exceptional to drive, beautifully engineered and reviewed by people who understand the appeal. But our Expert Ratings also look at the ownership side, including running costs, emissions, insurance, warranty cover and other data that doesn’t always sit neatly alongside the romance of the badge.
That balance is useful because Ferrari ownership is never just about whether the car is brilliant on the road. It almost certainly will be. The harder questions are around cost, usability, availability and whether a particular model makes sense as a car to actually use, rather than simply admire. This page brings together all of our Ferrari coverage in one place, including Expert Ratings, reviews, news and feature articles, so you can compare the range and see how the brand’s cars stack up beyond the mythology.
